apparently the school didn't order enough books. O_O

| first week of school is done and still no textbooks.
i'm beginning to think that i should respectfully suggest that my contact teacher be fired. she's really lax.
for example, chris requested a white board the first week of school and there's no white board. why? our contact teacher filled out the request form, forgot to turn it in, found it a few months later, and then ripped it up and threw it away. so, we re-requested. still no white board.
this is an icky situation. there is no way she can be the contact teacher for next semester's teachers cuz that would be disastrous. sigh. this will require much wisdom.
hopefully the books will come in by Monday, so i will have something to teach the students.

| yay, back in Shenzhen.
school started today, and the kids are excited.
the funny thing is that they all have textbooks, but i don't have a copy. 0_o

this is my neighborhood in taiwan. it was very gray and cold while we were there. and yup! my hair's short! hehe
we went to Danshui, which is this fun scenic/touristy spot--also very gray and cold. we had a lot of fun playing ring toss games and eating foot high icecream cones. yum yum! :D
we also went to Taidong, which was bright and sunny with a beautiful, beautiful beach.
i love those darker sapphire, indigo streaks in the lighter turquoise. it was very warm and windy that day!
Chris is teaching me how to take pictures. i'm learning all about aperture (?), shutter speed, and ISO this, ISO that. hehe.
i hope Shenzhen is beautiful in the spring!
